Pile on TYC day on front running AOCNBC.

How is AOL doing today?

Black towel is now on top 85 percent of TV screen and sound is off. Ticker is all I need after Haines leaves.

Re: TYC slide exacerbated by Maria Bartiromo Cassandra effect

Well, if you haven't figured out Maria yet, then... She is merely a cheerleader. That's it. An amusing and entertaining one, mind you, but a cheerleader none-the-less. She never offers any analysis. It's not her job. Kinda like that dumb blonde who used to be on CNBC before going to moneyline. She never offered any real analysis or opinions. Just quotes about target prices or rah rah.

Maria merely strokes what's hot -- whether it's going up or going down -- and parrots what some analyst says. "Folks, we're looking for a rally today!!!" "Lehman Brothers is hot on IBM!!!" Course the inuendo of sex in between doesn't hurt either.

Only thing missing is the pom poms. Course she is part of why this market sells so easily to the masses, aye?
