As far as I can tell the other presenters did not put out p.r. releases either. In fact some of the board of companies mentioned as presenters have no post indicating awareness of this meeting. I think the problem is one of third tier, biotech vs internet, and yes even XOMA's "bad" reputation, (undeserved IMO). As Bob says the science is the main thing and in the end the markets will remember that antibiotic resistance is an important area. Xoma appears to be able to make a contribution and we at least have considerable evidence that BPI is safe. Yes it is disappointing that XOMA has not yet concluded a deal for Mycoprex. But I keep reminding myself of how long getting an agreement between two companies can really take. I have been their and done that and seen how all others, than those directly involved, in a company can lose the faith when a proposed deal takes much longer than everyone thought it would when first presented to management. The other party may just take its time and while one can follow up one can't push. Even implying that one will be and is looking at others is a two edged sword and can backfire.
