Oct. SEMI sales

"...Beating even the most bullish predictions, the worldwide semiconductor industry zoomed to sales of $13.4 billion in October, breaking the record $13.19 billion single-month mark set in November 1995, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reported today...."

Adjusted for inflation, and for the price of gold, monthly semiconductor sales are still below the levels of the late 1400's when semiconductors were produced by the extended salt water and sand immersion of silver wafers. Comparisons are difficult to make because of variations in Revenue recognition policies over the 400 year process cycle. -g-
