Cha2, good points, and I am sure you are right about Q's Eudora strategy.

MSFT's integration of Outlook w/Exchange Server and making Outlook a PIM/E-mail integrated app is powerful for the needs of corporate users. Eudora is lightweight in comparison.

We have already seen Outlook displace PIMs like Ecco, GoldMine, etc., almost overnight (as corporate standards). It is replacing Eudora at the same rate.

Now we should expect a Eudora implementation on WAP and PC Browser platforms. Eudora needs to find a niche, probably there. There is no advantage in pursuing Eudora as a client/server app as part of Q's core business, imo.
