Jim, Re: "Oh no! It's Intel FDIV time again!, from the YUK:

As if it weren't enough that you can't buy Coppermine Pentium IIIs for love
nor money, the latest list of erratanotbugs on the Intel Web site (over 60
and counting) includes one guaranteed to send a shiver down the spines
of everyone at Satan Clara:

"E56. It is possible that a negative sign bit may be incorrectly applied to
the result of an x87 floating point operation if it is closely preceded by a
Streaming SIMD Extensions (SSE) multiply operation... "

I downloaded the PDF that's referenced in the YUK article. That PDF is Intel's PIII update, including all errata and status of same. It says that erratum #56 is FIXED. All you had to do was click on the letters "PDF" (assuming you have Adobe Acrobat) and here it comes. I'd have to say by your recent posts that you're not only piling on lately, but you're gouging eyes at the bottom of the pile. Man, when you sell a stock, you put on one great imitation of Benedict Arnold, Brutus and, I hate to say it, but, the Italians in WWII.
