Confessing....here's a good one.

Bought ISLD in the Summer at 28. Went on Vacation and came back to sell it at 22. Einstein!!

Also played PPRO...for three points!!

Oh well, live and learn, which I have thanks to many of you!

Raising some cash here in my trading accounts, too. We've bought the dips every time for the past several weeks. Not sure it's going to happen today.

BIIIG qualification

This market may have a big correction at least ST. Seems to me there is too much bullish talking about DEC/JAN effect, etc. Everybody (well, almost everybody) is pouring all their $$$ in more quickly than ever before so there may be a vol. dryup. Many are also going to be pulling $$$$ profits out too. The highflyers will get nailed the hardest.

How that for hedging <<GGG>>?

Jim

I skipped going to cash just because I don't want to face the tax liability. But 160% is about 5 good years compounded for most investors. Don't fret if you miss a few more now.

This is a toppy market, no doubt. But the next top could still be higher.

I seem to be having the opposite of the complacency problem. It's more of the risk aversion problem. I am up over 160% on the year, with a strategy that has been mostly based on catching the ups after down spikes. Those have been few and far between lately. Sooo. I was out of the market for 2 weeks during the switch (gave up on EGRP), up only 8% on 3 in/out trades so far at DIR. Sitting on cash again--like a deer caught in the headlights.
