Some might suggest that INTC with its enormous cap does have a spillover effect on other companies, regardless of their fundamentals, particularly in a negative phase!

Please don't think I attribute AMD's recent rise in price to INTC. Their recent rise in price has occurred because of their own solid product mix with the advent of the Athlon, something that should be readily discernible to INTC shareholders given the reduction as evidenced by the very significant reduction in the INTC/AMD share price ratio in the past 6 months!

I wouldn't be harping if I were a current INTC shareholder...I'd be researching just exactly why this favourable AMD trend is unfolding and perhaps relign some of my financial resources if I concluded (and I have) that this "closing of the gap" might just be completed within Y2000!
