Yes, and if I had my choice I had rather sit right here at this price, get our split and have all the news come in behind that spilt and go up with 4 times the shares but won't happen. Compression will get tighter and tighter and so I guess we will have to go through the agony of seeing the stock rise about 115 points. geeez!

Re : timing of handset division sale -- if you grab a calendar (and assume Qualcomm DOES want to get this thing announced before 12/31/99) ...

If you assume they do NOT want to do it between Christmas and New Years, then you are left with 12/24 or earlier.

12/24 (a Friday) is a NYSE holiday.

12/23 is therefore the day before a big holiday, so -- a real "goof off," no one is there all day kind of day.

So, 12/22 would be the last possible logical day.

But, then the stock market response begins just when markets are thin and useless for about a week or so.

So ... 12/21 (a Tuesday) last possible logical day (?)

There are only 8 trading days between now and 12/21 (including 12/21).

Jon.
