Darrell:

re:"If you apply this scenario across all product lines contained within your office. you also apply this against the fact that Dell's Web site is one of the most visted sites to purchase internet related products in the world."

Which takes you back to square one again... Dell cannot mess this up. And all of these pieces will fit. It is only a matter of time. So be patient and have fun! Dell is a long-term buy and one the stock will perform again. The company never stopped performing, but many of us are looking at this wrong. We shareholder's get frustrated when we look at the day-to-day movement, but you just have to look at the overall scheme of things. The fundamentals are intact. They are not hiring all of those people in Nashville and Austin to just sit around! I talk to people in both places. By the way, many of the cell phone companies have major offices in the DFW Metroplex between Love Field and DFW. So, Dell could easily do a deal with them and with CSCO too. They will be in great company! But Dell is a great company! Don't ever forget that!

Darrell -
how can Dell screw this up?

By failing to execute. Every vendor in the business understands the convergence you describe. What advantage does DELL have, or intend to develop?

CPQ has a complete range of 11MBit wireless office products available today. HP will have a complete suite within the next few months. And those companies developed and own the base technology, and BTW also agreed on standards which are now widely accepted.

It looks to me like DELL is standing on the sidelines watching all of this happen and somehow hoping that the gravy train will turn their way...
