It looks like BIG is zipping his pants, going cash and sitting tight till we shake the fleas out of this market advance.

Big

It's been FUN the past 38 days but the risks far out weigh the rewards. Of course there will be plays and scalping to be had..just be careful and protect that capital.

Initially I too bought on Kim's recom. on TDFX...and made some money after the mo died out at 10 1/2..

However if you do your dd, it is quite promising...

Just imagine, all the GUI work that can & need to be done for Linux os on any desktop...their "glide" products would just enable developers to bring out "windows" feel on linux...which is otherwise a techie's operating system.

I bring to your attention, the following comments by none other than Linux founder and Director of Engg. at RHAT. This's a resounding endorsement of TDFX products..!

3dfx has made a bold statement to the Linux community today by Open Sourcing their proprietary API, Glide,'' said Linus Torvalds, founder of the Linux Operating System. ''With the Open Sourcing of FXT1 texture compression and Glide, 3dfx has followed through on its commitment to Linux. By releasing the specifications for all past and current hardware, developers will be able to evolve 3D graphics for the Linux platform and take advantage of the strong features that Voodoo products deliver.''

''The release of Glide to the Open Source community improves the 3D capabilities of the Linux-based OS,'' said Erik Troan, Director of Engineering, Red Hat, Inc. ''With the Open Source release of FXT1 texture compression in August followed by today's announcement of Open Source Glide and hardware specifications, Red Hat sees a real commitment from 3dfx to become the leading 3D hardware platform for Linux-based OSes.''

Barbera,

I am also holding some of Kim's picks that didn't pan out.

But do you know that EVENTUALLY I do sell her picks at even or at a profit.

Case in point, today I sold 2000 shares of DNCC at 3 7/8,that I had bought on Monday at 2 3/4,and saw go BELOW 2.

I am holding TDFX and GLMC and others with the hope of making money on them.
WHAT IS THE COMPLAINING ABOUT?

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH KIMBERLY's GENEROSITY.

Manny T.

Bailed SILCF for slight loss, TDFX for larger loss, holding WFII, QNTS, ALAN, MCAR, PFSW, SKDS, & INPR...

In the green big time on INPR...honorable mention on PFSW & SKDS...WFII & QNTS suck but I am hopeful, kinda. I have sold 1/2 my positions on some.

Maybe somebody will buy WFII & QNTS out! Or someone will call another buy! Or something...

Cheers!
Jo

Barbara, sorry about these two. A very medicore day for me, and the only stocks that work for me today were LNUX (dumped all but 100 IPO shares at the open), SBAS and YARC. Scalped a few points from PERL. Took profit on some SILCF but still holding FORS and TDFX. I will be selling FORS and TDFX tomorrow after the open if they don't perform, now that I have given notice to the thread. Continue to raish cash level; we've had such a wonderful run in the past few weeks, and it's time to think about Christmas and all the lovely thoughts that come with it.
