Lizzie, we always just called them pressed butter cookies...

They're very good! And fun to make....

edit....I also have made them in chocolate, here you go, they're called "Spritz"

Spritz cookies. My cookie press came with a recipe, and I've got a gazillion cookie recipes, but since I am not eating sugar, I don't make them anymore. Maybe I should, for the kids. It's just so hard to resist temptation, once I make them.

Lizzie, I have a wonderful Receipe for Old English Fruitcake
that has a lot of fruit and very little Cake..It can be made with or without Brandy...NO BILL YOU AIN'T USING IT FOR AN ANCHOR ;-)
