I had a similar experience. I called as soon as Joe K announced the price. As luck would have it, the same customer rep I had called 1 hour earlier (to see if it had priced) answered the phone. He said "Perfect timing. We normally send e-mails and leave voice mail msgs, but because it's so hot, we're doing neither. And I have someone here from the IPO Desk to take your affirmation". I had some difficulty affirming my 1000 share order, since a large flow of drool was interfering with the vocalization process. This ended when I asked how many shares I would in fact get. That's when I was told that they had officially changed the definition of affirmation to mean 'if we feel like it'. By now I'm sure you've guessed that they didn't feel like it.
