What is his overall voting record? I'd like to know myself. Regardless, I don't think you can blame him for the demise of the military. He hasn't been top dog for the last seven years. We have Wild Bill, primarily, to thank for what's happened to the military. One Congressman can't set the course for the entire country; he just has to do the best he can for his constituents. I think he has a better chance of beating Gore than W. W is just an empty suit that is going to implode at some point - better to have a shot at the Presidency with JM than to lose any chance with W. If the Presidency can be bought then W is the man for the GOP, but if it can't then there'd better be someone of substance running against Gore.
