A smoker and an indexer, or do I miss my target again? -g- A distortion is not necessarily bad; e.g., in the absence of insider trading laws, securities markets are impaired in their economic utility, imo (here's yer politics), but are indubitably different. If you don't accept that the mortgage interest deduction has an economic effect, there's no way we can ever argue about the desirability of that effect. -mb
