was PM'd this AM; apparently in the Dec. issue of PCWEEK magazine...you know those things with pages made of paper and writing....it says that the Athlon has captured 38% of the $1500-2000 pc market on Pgs 47 and 54 or 52 of magazine.

I think, Athlon retail market share was posted by Petz a week ago. I believe it was for the month of October and the numbers were from PCDATA. No body on this thread discussed about it. I guess, most of the posters missed reading that post.

That is definitely good news.

I agree. I'm expecting even a bigger retail market share in Nov in >$1000 PC segment.

Was this for the US or UK?
Seems I heard something like that for the UK as well.
