A few metacrawler observations The old list of search engines About.com, AltaVista, Excite, GoTo.com, Infoseek, LookSmart, Lycos, Thunderstone, and WebCrawler new list About.com \| AltaVista \| DirectHit \| Excite \| Google \| GoTo.com \| Infoseek LookSmart \| Lycos \| Thunderstone \| Webcrawler So in addition to google we also added DirectHit and didn't lose any. Can someone please explain to me why dogpile is not on this list? Did everyone know that MetaCrawler has been recognized by many industry publications as the Internet's finest search service, including "Best Search Engine" in 1997 and 1998 by PC Magazine. Who if anyone won for 99...has that been published?
