Jim-- my point was I used to be a micro-little guy, and only have what I do now because of Etrade and Wit IPOs. Sorry you got screwed by some scheisters in the past. I hope it turns around for you.

Jim, you may not want to hear this but bear in mind that most brokerages don't give IPOs to the little guys....and part of that is because there are federal guidelines on the appropriateness of investing in IPOs....I'm not insinuating anything, but if you can barely afford a $5K brokerage account, in reality you may not qualify for IPO investing. I'm not saying the rich don't get richer, but you have to deal with it.

I'm sure a lot of people are not being truthful in filling out their customer profile, and there is little Etrade can or will do about this unless prodded by the government.

And I do think Etrade should reward their better customers (i.e., those with higher trading activity and balances).

KJ

Hey Gang,

I missed out on the LNUX deal too... because I truly am a "little" guy. As they kept upping the offering price, I was scrambling to wire money to my account. It never did get there in time. :( so I'll never know if I would have won the lottery.

I do have one suggestion about the IPO process. Wit requires you to properly fund the account 5 days later, not at the time of allocation. Maybe this would make it more fair for us little folk to get into the lottery ... but then I guess it would make it easier for people to have multiple low funded accounts ... sigh .... no real answers ...

good luck rolling the dice :)

Troy.
