McCain's idea gives even more power to an already powerful media elite. We should strive to weaken their monopoly, not strengthen it. His plan would stifle "issue ads", which is the only voice a little guy has. If you are passionate about pro-life, pro-choice, guns, or the environment the only recourse you have is to donate money to your advocacy group and let them speak for you. Under McCain's plan it would be illegal to run those ads. His idea is contrary to the 1st amendment.

Shell shocked wasn't exactly charitable, I take that back. I used that term because he seemed unusually bellicose when he said the words, "I don't agree with the reason we're there, but now that we're in it we gotta win it." That quote is pretty much verbatim, it really struck me when he said it.

McCain came out against being in Kosovo. He later said that if we are involved militarily, with an objective, we might as well win. McCain is opposed to "another Vietnam".
(G.W. is Big hat no cattle.)
The experience that McCain has in the Senate and as a military man makes the rest of the bunch look like rookies.
We do not need another southern governor at the helm of the nation at this time. JMHO.
