New G*USA Coverage Maps available at globalstarusa.com Now provides a N.American "Soft Launch" map showing existing (?) coverage, which does not include W. Canada, and the NW 1/3 of the US. Excluded states include all of CA and NV parts of AZ and CO, parts of the Dakotas, and all states N/W of these. Obviously, the Alberta GW is not on line yet. Bermuda, Northern Mexico and much of the Gulf of Mexico is shown covered as of "Soft Launch." "Commercial Launch" "planned" for 1Q2000 The global map has been reformatted a little but is basically the same as the previous version.
