Someone commented that once the SEC gets involved, it will have to find something wrong with Tyco since it is a watchdog agency. I am a civil attorney, but have dealt with the SEC and other agencies relating to a securites case I hadled. My impression, based on that and what criminal defense attorneys have told me, is that the SEC isn't going to want to report anything wrong with Tyco, unless the issue is clear and evenly proven. They will think twice before accusing a Tyco.

As for this crap being dished out by GE ala CNBC, how much of its aquisitions is accounted for by pooling and how much good will does it carry on the books?

I'm tired and picced. Time for a glass of merlot and bed.
