Crackin' Jack,

Thought I'd let you know I just cracked
open an '82 Armagnac.
I picked up a few bottles on this summer's holiday.
I bought them from a "middle-aged" Mom running her Dad's
stillery, which made her the 10th generation from the same
"brew" so to speak.
I think it is the way to go when one must choose between
this or a Cognac.
Word has it, the locals feels the same.
Theory and practice says distilling the wine two different
ways makes the difference but I say it's their local wine
making the difference.
Sweet Jura‡on wines nearby would certainly distill into
something potent.
Oh, remember to breath the stuff and not to sniff.
