I can't help feeling like the market is in a game of chicken with each other and Y2K. I bet a lot of people are going to pull out just in case something happens. But there is soooo much money being made now in the high fliers, that greed is dominating fear. Everyone is thinking that they will be smart enough to get their money out before anyone else. So, the question becomes, who will blink first? I think you are right- I bet a lot of people will pull out on Friday. Once that becomes clear, look out below!

The market is tiring if it can't rally on this good ppi and bond news, a negative finish will seal the deal.

The pros want to take there profits home before they take off to the hamptons for the holidays

<< Here's my 2nd attempt at when the 40% drop occurs. Friday Dec, 17,1999 >>

Options Expiration Day ???

Does that make your scenario more or less likely? I guess if everyone is buying calls on stocks going to the moon, then the MMs will need to bring down stocks to keep their shirts.

I think BB is right again. The drop will likely start earlier.

It could be an interesting week. It could get very ugly.

Black Monday -- 12/20/99 ???

Merry Christmas everyone! The time of year to reflect on the fact that life consists of more than the material possessions that we had!

Best wishes to all -- HB
