Captain,
I don't need to look at the stock price after reading the last few posts. Every time CPQ drops you celebrate like a wild eyed bear in a bee hive. You should be in great form tomorrow as the IBM Y2k warning gets into full swing on the hardware makers.

Barring rain, I will return to work on my stone wall tomorrow. Wrestling bags of mason mix and fitting stones together is more interesting then watching Compaq lately.

I think the IBM warning will continue to hurt us unless there is Compaq specific news to defuse it. Given MC's prior comments on the issue, I don't think he can say anything at this point unless the quarter is already in the bag. Six more days until the quite period starts. I don't think he can say anything after that. Let's hope the quarter is in the bag and he says something shortly.

Capt,

I don't necessarily agree with you negativeness nor positions on certain (sometime most) actions but I do appreciate your points and posts. As well, I also disagree with victor single-mindedness (different from mine) about CPQ's (in victors case .. Rosen's) sale of AV ... but again I try to see his points ..... ALL this is good.

On the other hand, JUMBO keeps posting here about how well his other investments (real or imaginary) are doing AND about how "wrong" (a gentle understatement at best) us CPQ investors are.

This is just fine ... it's his disregard for basic politeness which galls me.

Capt, I hope you understand my thoughts, I'm not trying to be an intentional pain nor burr, all I ask is civility and appropriateness .... Jimbo does NOT care for either nor about you nor about me nor about anyone/anything on this thread.

Michael
