All DD companies will double from here at least. Look at KMAG in two days - 60% gain. That will happen to them all, WDC and MXTR as well as HDD.

Darrell, my point was historical. Many people are currently talking about Internet stocks as though they are a foolish fad. I just wanted to say that whether we like it or not, the majority of people who made money in these DD stocks were short sellers. The group has turned out to be about as bad as any investment you could imagine, even Inter"nuts" if they do the bubble pop of all times.

I was lucky with this sector because I never had a buy and hold mentality. I believe the group served up some profits in the end, mostly through the help of many knowledgeable posters here on this thread. In fact, I doubt many of them really suffered the losses you would think because we had many moments of really good collaboration.

Whether you can call this group a good investment today is a question. The dynamic of this bombed out industry may well have many more chapters. It wasn't long ago that DRAM was a hopeless story, only to turn quickly when capacity couldn't meet demand because too many players died of attrition. It looks like there are signs of life, but not enough to get me to invest.

Regards,

Mark

PS I was talking to the CEO of a company called Intraware and in the conversation, he used the word disintermediation. I nearly choked. I had such a laugh thinking of Lawrence Kam and the whole chapter of what that word meant. I was tempted to ask if he picked it up reading this thread, or from LK Himself, but some things are better left unknown.
