Good post Nazdood. I read an article somewhere that said the internet will make the market for EVERYTHING that is for sale more like the NYSE. You will be able to know exactly what a widget is worth and at what price everyone is willing to sell and/or buy. The days of paying JimBob whatever he wants because he's the only game in town are coming to an end. Mom and Pop are in trouble, it's true. But if Mom and Pop will shop themselves for the best wholesale price instead of just buying from Mr. Tippet because they feel sorry for him what with the wife dying and his daughter run off like that..I believe that Mom and Pop can make more money AND bring competitive prices to Podunk, USA. The NET will empower all levels of trade for those who embrace it. The various middlemen who are basically worthless, yet set up in the business as usual network, are the ones who will be seeking employment. Product and price will take priority over BS.
