Once you have the new Qualcomm email client, you can turn on the more sophisticated features and try them out, while still paying no money at all, in exchange for seeing a few ads. You then get to decide which option is best for you. If you don't want ads, you don't get ads. I don't understand what you mean by the limited-feature Email clients from Microsoft and Netscape. These are feature packed clients that are free.
