MDS consists of 2150-2162 MHz in top fifty markets that were in existence back when allocated in 1970's and 2150-2160 in rest of US. MDS also includes 2500-2686 MHz which is combination of ITFS and MMDS awarded channels. Each channel within is 6 MHz and generally 13 are commercial licenses and 20 were awarded as Instructional TV Frequencies. Channel 2a below top 50 markets is just 4 MHz. Millimeter frequencies also include 24 GHz which is Teligent to date.
