I found out that in good times, it is best to ride many stocks (my portfolio has now 25+) but in lean times it is better to concentrate on a select few (10-12?) but of higher quality. I am concerned about the future and want to start trimming now. In your stable of stocks, which would be the top dozen? Could start a nice debate: pick the "dirty dozen".

And what to you think of a yahoo march put at 300 just to help in the event of a correction?

Thanks

LIA

Interestingly, I think your thread
has become even better, if that's
possible.

Etrade sent me a few more DJ's,
so I might have to open an account
elsewhere in an attempt to get an
IPO or two.

Yesterday's market was very interesting
and I am starting to become a bit concerned.
Backed off slightly from the new highs I
set Wednesday, but I'm not sure that even
this market can sustain this level of froth.

I'll probably trim a few positions before
I leave in a few weeks and hold some cash
going into the new year.
