Stew - your comments, though I expect correct, don't really deter my enthusiasm for the product. Despite the shortcomings you listed, I find TIVO (and I expect equivolent products like Replay) to be a pleasant answer to the demise of regularly scheduled programming. For example, I recorded Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" and watched it a day or two ago. Normally it wouldn't have made it to my radar but the ease and simplicity of TIVO made it happen. Still a convert...IMHO. Peter
