Qtera and Corvis transmit OC192 that distance, Ciena only OC48.

G'day Ken & all - thx for the article. Interestingly, most of us here have come to the conclusion before Warburg Dillon Read [equally a smart analyst, since he agrees with us <VBG>]

Qtera, a Boca Raton, Florida-based company with no sales, has developed a product that carries phone and data traffic on fiber networks at lower cost. Nortel could use it to leap ahead of rivals such as Ciena Corp., which is developing similar technology, and Lucent Technologies Inc., analysts said. ''There's no one better to drive Qtera's revenue than Nortel,'' said Warburg Dillon Read LLC analyst John Wilson, who rates Nortel shares a ''buy.'' ''Why let someone else get a foot in the door?''

best, Bosco
