This is just a sign of what pension funds in Canada are doing. They have taken a very active part in the market. This should be considered food for thought.

"Alberta wants the foreign content ceiling eliminated." I think if I were from Canada I would agree. Banks are regulated by recently re-inforced ridiculous and archaic rules so you don't want to own them. Don't want more than maybe 20% in natural resources. Not enough tech choices to avoid serious concentration in NT. Etc.

Maybe these new shareholders would put pressure on the neanderthal in Finance Ministry, whose name I forget, who won't allow banks to merge.
