I haven't been able to get into si for days... It is very slow or doesn't respond. clearstation has the same problem.
I get on first thing in am or later at night. I figure it is a money problem for si why else this long delay in improving response time.????

Good morning, Tec: There is a thread here for people to discuss pet peeves and make suggestions. This would be a good place to post the suggestion because other subscribers who read this thread might support the idea or at least complain about the slowness, too:

Subject 31837

SI opened this thread and notes in the opening posting that every posting is read.

I had no problems yesterday and am not having any today but I have off and on in the past. I use SI Classic.

Regards,

Lynn

I've been using Lynx for the last few days so I'm able to see stuff that Netscape might otherwise obscure. Also, any latency this way is 100% server side. I'm seeing something I haven't seen before which is Java error messages. --after checking in with netcraft... It looks like SI has started employing a (1.0 ver) Java server software. From our perspective, SUNW shareholders on a Sparc/Solaris/Apache(Java server) SUNW discussion thread, this CAN'T be a good thing.<g> Do we have a Solaris admin in the house? Go find out what SI geeks are saying and then translate it back to the thread. <g> I bet it's related to this "1.0" thing somehow. -JCJ

SI install SUNW servers instead of, I believe, NT servers

SI is running Apache/1.3.6 (Unix) ApacheJServ/1.0 on Solaris
Don't know what type of hardware they are running, but Sun is a good bet. They may be running more than just SI on one server..???? Didn't we all get a note from SI apologizing for the problems they have been having lately?? I can't remember what it said the problem was.
