The Linux craze is ridiculous....

Read some of my other posts, in other groups, explaining Linux, Windows and SUN , especially Solaris

Mark my words, there are going to be a lot of people that will lose a fortune in these Linux stocks..

There is :

- no sales, apart from small web servers, and no destktop market, ever, since it is essentially unix and massively complex, even with a UI
- no profits, it's free, completely customizable, and companies will rely on selling "services" to make money on it. ha!
- I am a senior tech. Arch, and when we want scalable OS/platforms we go to IBM for M/F, Sun Solaris for new mainframes and WEB/E-Commerce platforms..
- Are people forgetting about Win 2000, to be released in Feb 2000 or so ?
- VA Linux and others have sales in the 15 $ Million dollar range and LOSSES in the 12 Million range. Any problems you see here ? Microsoft uis the most profitable company on the planet with 20 Billion # in cash, and a semi-total lock, with SUN Java, on application development.

Corel was a $ 2 stock 18 months ago, as they are run by a flamboyant idiot named cowpland. Now they are worth $ 60 canadian ? Ridiculous....

Take care
jean

Linux is more stable than Windows. Windows may become the alternative.
