SPECTRUM Selected to Manage CableNET '99
Multivendor Digital Management Solution's Unique Ability to Enhance Cable Service Quality Showcased at Western Show
DURHAM, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 1999--SPECTRUM, the leader in scalable, multivendor network management, today announced that it will manage the network infrastructure at CableNET '99(TM), part of the Western Show held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, December 15-17, 1999. SPECTRUM will demonstrate how its Digital Cable Management Solution allows multiple system operators (MSOs) to manage, control and monitor multivendor cable access, distribution and core network infrastructures.

``SPECTRUM enables an MSO to view, manage and control any DOCSIS-compliant device in a network. This includes support for cable modem termination systems, cable modems, hybrid fiber coax, and optical and ATM equipment,' said Michael Skubisz, president of SPECTRUM. ``That's why industry-leading MSOs at Adelphia Communications and MediaOne use SPECTRUM to centralize network operations and guarantee service availability at competitive prices.'

CableNET '99 is a forum at the Western Show where over 60 leading companies showcase the latest and most innovative solutions--including high-speed cable modems, digital set-top boxes and IP telephony services--used by MSOs to expand the number of video, telecommunications and entertainment services they deliver to cable customers.

SPECTRUM participation in CableNET '99 consists of managing the forum's multitude of industry-leading solutions, including cable modems from Terayon, Motorola, General Instruments, RCA and Askey, as well as Cable Modem Termination Systems from Cabletron, Cisco and Broadcom.

SPECTRUM's Digital Cable Management solution and related solutions will also be showcased at the Western Show, booth #4409, West Hall.
