True, but the % of PC owners and the % of folks for consumer e commerce are far less. People still walk to the corner store to buy. The Indian e commerce will be in the biz to biz and foreign investments. It will be hub for many global biz to biz e commerce transactions. just guessing. Ram

I was in India last June. There is a big electric sign at a major intersection in New Delhi that shows the current population. The last three digits rolled so fast they were just a blur. It was nearing a billion then, it may be there by now.

But, the average wage is $30 per month, or about a $1 per day. Their buying power is limited to the top part of the economic pyramid. I would guess that 5% of the people have 95% of the disposable income. But, 50,000,000 is still a large number of people.
