Yes, we discussed it on my board. Basically they allowed the bought out companies to make revenues look light before the aquisition so that after they were aquired, there would appear to be bigger gains down the road.

My point was that while this makes growth look better than it is down the road, it was also showing less than what there was in revenues and earnings at teh time. Basically they were fudging to the low side. Apparently this is not condoned by the SEC. However if YHOO, CSCO, MU and the other darling stocks want to show profits that don't exist or do the old smoke and mirrors accounting to make things look better than things really are to get their stock prices a lot higher than FA would allow, that is OK and no audit is done.

Both are wrong, it just gives the appearance that only lies that support the bubble are allowed.

Indexes look pretty weak considering the way it looked like it was going to be today. I am sure they will rally it before the close though. Fridays have to be up don't they?
