If you are up big overall right now for the year (and who isn't) and bought some TYC cheap yesterday, it is tempting to cash out even and skip this whole mess. With these accounting fiasco's more often than not the outcome is "Where there's smoke, there's fire." That's what tempted me this AM, but I am going to have some patience and see what develops here. If not profitable it will be educational.

Dear Luther: I agree and disagree with what you said.

I agree that a lot of people are taking profits, especially those people who bought yesterday only for the 'quick hit.'

About the major brokerage houses upgrading their recommendations so their customers can get out? With this I definitely disagree. To reiterate a buy, strong buy or even upgrade to a buy from accumulate just so a few customers can get out of TYC today? I can not believe this.

Sorry, I'm not willing to get into a debate with you over this one. Maybe someone else here will, but I maintain the upgraded (and new ones) are what the houses really see.

Lynn

SI lists the day high as 36 1/4. Is that correct?
