truedog, lorrie is provocative to a fare- the- well, but I am afraid I have to go along with pezz on this one. Sympathizing with attackers is going too far, and you should apologize.......

Only a coward would try to justify a physical assault on a woman

Is it always cowardly for a man to beat up a woman? What if the woman is stronger than the man? What if a strong woman beats up a weak man. Cowardly? Is the problem the gender difference or the strength differential. If a weaker person beats up a stronger person is this bravery?

pezz, I have never hit a woman, and will never even consider doing so. I was trying to tell coey that, in these times, there are many men who would do so, as well as women. The same is true of her assailants. Worse has been done to women if they ironed a shirt wrong for type of man they made the mistake of marrying. The only times I have every behaved in a violent manner was while in the uniform of my country and, I abhor the necessity of doing that. Perhaps you misread my intent. If so, I regret that you, or anyone else, did. I do not like coey but, would not resort to violence, even with her. TD
