The reality is the split is old news. Q came a long way after the split news was announced. To whom the handset division will be sold to and under what terms is now key IMO.

I believe the actual split has its own impact as that date approaches... seen it before like with AOL in November

with QCOM, my guess is that the need for Board of Director approval of the much larger authorized number of shares (3 billion) has cast a small cloud of doubt that such authorization will be given

when it is given, we run hard
as it approaches, we run hard
it is unprecedented in my mind for a 10-fold increase in authorized shares be even requested of a Board

V,

I don't doubt the split will help. But we need big e numbers and projections to hold 500, if we get there soon.

I expect us to nail that 50 day ema in February, and break slightly under it. The question is, where will that 50 day moving average be by then? It is possible it will be around 380-400, so if we hit 500(125), we still come down to 95-100 and we get set for the next leg up.

I won't sell at all if we run to 500, even with anticipation of 400 after.
