Thanks for posting that article Auric. That is a very compelling account. It certainly fits my thinking about what was most likely involved in the double slaying. I was unaware that a trip had been cancelled. That makes me wonder if there was not some kind of set up to insure that these two men would be in a secluded setting with the family conveniently away.

Re: Chalem and his control over securities firms Let's "play name that firm". Here's the clue: Joe Logan used to brag about his close relationship with Chalem. He would provide anecdotes relating how powerful Chalem was. In one of his monologues, Logan stated that "Al used to work at the World Trade Center and controlled a whole floor that was an investment banking firm. He controlled over 200 brokers". He said this around the summer of '98. Name that firm! Note: Although I am presenting the question in a slightly less that serious way, it's still a serious request and I seriously don't know who the firm was or whether Logan's claim is true.
