San Diego, California, Dec. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Leap Wireless

many as 3.45 million shares of its common stock in the first

The secondary offering will comprise 3 million shares plus
an option for an additional 450,000, the company said at its
annual shareholder meeting. Leap Wireless also said it's signed a

Leap owns stakes in other wireless ventures in the U.S. and
Latin America, with its Chilesat PCS unit in Chile accounting for
most of its subscribers. The San Diego, California-based company
has been expanding in Latin America this year.

Leap's shares rose 5/16 to 55 3/4 in midday trading.
The stock has risen sevenfold so far this year.

It owns stakes in Mexico's PEGASO and in Chase

It has licenses to offer service to 24 million people in
markets like Albuquerque, New Mexico; Nashville, Tennessee and
Salt Lake City.

Gee LindyBill, looks like we we're hashing out about the same stuff. You're trying to answer the Q-uestions before I have a chance to post them. "You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension of sight and sound..."
