Not at all, my dear. But Edwarda has such, let us say, sensitive feelings when I attend to other women who, ummmm, how do we put this, have travelled slightly less far along the road of life than she. It is, of course, her own fault for leaving me alone in the inglenook, but you were not, I assure you, a mere dalliance or charity case but a delightful entracte.

This is, after all, a holiday party, and I am, again after all, in the avuncular role of assisting you in becoming less innocent.

<end of aside>

Well, Edwarda of course knows that she is the only true e-love of my life, so what else could you expect to be? I did tell you that I was waiting in the inglenook for my true love, and of course I meant Edwarda.

<further private aside>

E, Rambi, X, and all the other delightful women here (except CB who chooses not to enjoy e-dalliance) with whom I have spent delightful hours or days here are, of course, to disregard all the above.

I take my life cue from the delightful character in Finian's Rainbow who sang

"When I'm Not Near the Girl I Love, I Love the Girl I'm Near"
