I think IBM is still a great company. I just don't see them as a king or gorilla in the sense that is discussed here.

For a short time I worked in a sales network that sold IBM semiconductors. At the time they were the words largest manufacturer of DRAMs. They also had wafer technology that far outstripped any competitor-- as a result they have become a fab for other manufacturers.

I'm not looking for an argument; I'm mostly just shooting my mouth off. But, IBM would not be my choice for investment given limited capital resources. And not if my strategy is Gorilla Gaming.
