Wally: I have a new theory.

I think the risk to this market is that productivity falters but it does not show up so much in inflation numbers as it does in the earnings for corporate America. I have already seen it start to happen in some earnings reports which have come up short. A company cannot be as productive if its turnover increases and it is not able to find ready, willing and able workers and/or cannot train them quickly enough.

I don't thin the Greenman will tighten the bias come December 21st for the simple reason that he is concerned -- maybe alarmed -- about Y2k.
