Pooky......These sales certainly do mean something....remember they are pricy...one doesn't buy one just to use in GSM mode....One would ONLY buy these phones if their intent was for satellite usage..These sales are a very good indicator of demand...

Usage is of course the most important thing to
Globalstar.
But I dont agree on that people buying these phones
will primarily use them in GSM mode.
It makes no sense, why would you want to carry those
big phones around town when you can slip an Ericsson
T-model in your pocket?
People buying Globalstar phones will use the phone for
satellite communication service outside of GSM coverage.

To make the offer even more interesting, Ericsson should bundle together
one Globalstar phone and one T-model in
a package.
Much better idea than the Iridium Kyocera combo!
