'I still suspect in the next couple years some other bank will come in and buy them up. Such as National City that recently moved into northern Indiana."

That's what we're all thinking, Dave.
With the banking reforms just passed by Congress small regional banks
look even more attractive for larger banks to buy.
I look for a pick-up in take-overs after Y2K has passed. Larger
banks don't want to acquire any problems along with the other assets.
I think OLDB is setting itself up to be acquired by someone.
During the last year, OLDB has pickedup a huge trust portfolio with
ANB in Indianapolis and now it has gone into insurance with a
recent purchase of an agency in Terre Haute (I think).
Not to mention the bank holding company it bought in Tenn.,
presumably to acquire other banks in that state.
Wow !!! What a year.
I got into OLDB (and the DRIP program) a little over 15 months
ago. I now have almost double the number of shares due to
dividends, the two 5% annual "gifts", and THE spilt. .....and
I haven't bought any more shares in the process !!!!
Haven't made much money yet but I do like those extra shares.
And when the price moves back up....yippee !!!
If any BIG banks are out there reading this, you may start
the bidding now....remember, there's a Toyota plant in Princeton !!!
