Mr. R.G. Walker reports
The company has reached an agreement with the James Smith Cree Nation to earn a 100-per-cent interest in the mineral rights to 35,000 acres in the Fort a la Corne area of Saskatchewan. The agreement calls for Shane Resources to make cash payments of $7,500 and spend $50,000 on exploration for diamonds on the property over two years. A net smelter return royalty of 2 per cent would be payable to the James Smith Cree Nation from any resulting production of diamonds from the property.
Shane now owns the mineral rights to about 45,000 contiguous acres in the area, making the company one of the largest participants in the Fort a la Corne area. The company has completed geophysical surveys on the ground originally held and plans to conduct both airborne and ground surveys on the new acquisition. Previous results indicate the possibility of kimberlite bodies on Shane's property. Over 80 kimberlite pipes have been discovered at Fort a la Corne, making it one of the largest kimberlite fields in the world.
Two other exploration programs are being carried out to the north of Shane's property, with both programs including diamond drilling in 1999. The company looks forward to working with the James Smith Cree Nation at Fort a la Corne in the months and years to come.

Shane Resources to acquire Candle Lake claims
Shane Resources Ltd SEI
Shares issued 6,694,750 1999-12-09 close $0.27
Friday Dec 10 1999

Mr. R.G. Walker reports
The company has reached an agreement to purchase 23 claim blocks situated east of Candle Lake, Sask. The claims consist of a total of 183,000 acres and are located in an area where diamondiferous kimberlites are known to occur. The purchase price of the properties is $500,000. The vendor of the claims, Full Time Management Inc., will also be entitled to a 2-per-cent gross overriding royalty on the production derived from the property. Shane will have the option of reducing the royalty to 1 per cent at any time by making a payment of $5-million. A total of 200,000 shares of Shane will also be payable, in increments of 50,000 shares, as per exchange policies. A finder's fee will apply in this transaction in accordance with exchange policy.
Shane has closed its private placement totalling $200,000. These funds were raised by the company issuing one million units at a price of 20 cents per unit, each unit consisting of one common share and one one-transferable share purchase warrant. The shares, and any shares to be issued upon the exercise of the warrants, are subject to a hold period expiring Nov. 17, 2000.
