The easiest way is to buy a new car. You need to get the shop manual for your car, that's something I always do. If you're going to try doing repairs yourself it's a must-have. If there's a car club for Range Rovers in NVa that would be another excellent source of information. There can be a lot of hardware in a door panel, and they aren't often easy to take apart. I'd find out all that I could before I tore my door apart.
