RB: Taking profits has never been dangerous to my health, other than the tax hit, but I have learned that I'd rather pay taxes than see the profit evaporate. I learned that trading oil stocks, (hence the name). While others bought and held, I traded almost daily, always missing the top and bottom, but always making $$. I am certain that there will be a lot of insider selling when Dec. numbers come out and lots of people are waiting to sell this Jan. 2 so they can defer taxes until next year. I don't want to get trampled getting out!
