Zev, imo the stock got to low to do the deal. Hec would have had to exchange to many shares. Maybe they thought the buyback of shs in the open market would have given the stock a boost.

In that case its better then didn't do it.

Zeev,
Too many are making assumptions of HEC's reasons for making the offer. Do you really think the Europeans are morons? Would HEC be making such an offer that would offend anyone with a peanut sized brain? No. There is more to the offer than meets the eye, and we aren't privy to it.
I think these shortsighted assumptions are laughable. It comes as a direct result of ignorance about management of HEC. There is no convincing anyone (at this price) that management is as astute as I know them to be... so I'm not going to try. I compare it to football... if you're winning it's because you have talented players, but if you're losing, you have terrible coaches.
I just hope some of you have the balls to take advantage of situation so you can smile with me on the way to the bank.
